No Party or Event Policy

Although we love to host, due to the location and amenities of our house we are unable to accommodate parties, events or large gatherings.

Being in a residential area requires us to follow the short term ordinance of ensuring a quiet time between 11pm – 7am and not exceeding our 4 parking spaces allotted for our guests. Additionally, Lake House runs on a septic system that is not equipped to handle large parties and can only handle the 10 guests. Therefore, special events, outdoor events, lawn parties, weddings or similar activities are not allowed on the site for more than the number of permitted occupants (10). Failure to follow the guidelines could result in damage to our property, resulting in expenses paid by the guests.

We are very lucky to be in such a beautiful area and able to share our space with all of you! Please help us follow the guidelines to keep our family business successful and to continue hosting our amazing guests.

Trash and Recycling

We offer 2 large GFL trash can at the end of the property. Please dispose on any trash bags in there during your stay and prior to your departure. Trash is picked up on Tuesday Morning and the bin must be at the bottom of the driveway for it to be picked up and at least 3 feet apart each bins for the automatic truck.

We love recycling, but unfortunately the city does not offer home recycling pick up.

Smoking Policy

This is a smoke-free home, including the outside area surrounding property. No smoking of any substance including vaping.

Quiet Times

We are located in a residential community and, although this is a holiday destination, it’s home to many people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 11pm and 7am noise should be kept to a minimum.

No Pet Policy

We love animals but we chose to make this home pet-free due to many people being allergic.

Breakages

We understand that sometimes accidents happen! Should you break anything please let us know immediately – if it’s minor we usually won’t charge. If it’s a larger issue (e.g. the TV screen!) we would like to discuss a resolution with you before you leave to avoid any issues later. Thank you!

Prohibited Activities

Any discharge of Fireworks on the rental property shall be in accordance with the St. Johns Township Consumer Fireworks Ordinance and is strictly prohibited.

The release of Sky Lanterns is prohibited.
